Lampuga: Crowdfunding & New Investor arrival Featured

Lampuga Crowdfunding Campaign Lampuga - Sashay GmbH

Tuesday November 1st, the German Jetboard Start-up announced a capital increase of 3.5 million with the arrival of a new investor.

The market leader for water toys operated by an electrical jet drive has raised a new investment of 3.5 million Euros just one-year after a successful crowdfunding campaign of 820.250 Euros on Seedmatch; The company now further strengthens its position as a pionneer of e-mobility on water.

"Our jetboards use state-of-the-art power units — which is unique in the water sports industry — they are emission-free while delivering high efficiency and performance, with very little noise.  This new investment will enable us to optimize our products and continue our internationalization strategy."

Benjamin Köhnsen, CEO.

"We already have distribution partners in 49 countries worldwide. We can now strengthen our position and expend our global reach into new target markets like Florida, the Great Lakes, California and the Caribbean. The new investment will accelerate the implementation of our expansion strategy and will help us to set up a strong international team."

Marc Hammerla, COO.

The product portfolio of Lampuga currently counts four jetboards, including the Lampuga Boost Carbon, the fastest electric jetboard in the world with a maximum speed of 37 mph (60km/h), and the latest jetboard generation with an inflatable body.

Lampuga jetboards are manufactured and assembled in a production site near Hamburg in Northern Germany. The company's main target groups are water sports lovers, owners of yachts and beach houses and life-guards. For the latter, Lampuga has developed a special inflatable rescue board together with the German Life Saving Association (DLRG).
